> The AI assistant for your team. Ask what happened today, who needs a follow-up, or what paperwork is late, in the app, Slack or Teams. It drafts and asks before it sends.

Available on: Business plan

The staff assistant is for your team, not your callers. It works from your own workspace records and only shows what the person asking is allowed to see. It is part of the Business plan.

## What it can do

- Answer questions: what happened today, who needs a follow-up, who still owes paperwork.
- Draft replies and follow-ups for you to approve.
- Create and track tasks, and tell a teammate to follow up with someone.
- Work on many people at once for batch paperwork and follow-up.

## It asks before it sends

Anything sent to a client on your behalf shows the exact words as a preview first. It goes only after you approve, for example by replying "yes". Routine, low-risk work happens on its own. Changes to records and outbound messages wait for approval.

## Where to use it

- The **Agent** page in the web console.
- Slack or Microsoft Teams as `@airhug`. See [Slack and Teams](https://docs.airhug.ai/channels/slack-and-teams.md).

## Access

The assistant acts with exactly the access of the person asking, never more. A teammate who cannot see a client cannot get that client's information through the assistant. See [team and roles](https://docs.airhug.ai/setup/team-and-roles.md).

## Tokens

The staff assistant is separate from the customer-facing receptionist. Customer replies spend [AI tokens](https://docs.airhug.ai/billing/ai-tokens.md) as described there.
