Payments, trial and invoices

All payment happens on the web at app.airhug.ai, through Stripe. The iPhone app is free to use and has no purchase screens.

Start the free trial#

1. In setup, on the Plan step, choose Start free trial on Starter or Business. A workspace with HIPAA compliance on sees the healthcare prices, with a note that the plan includes HIPAA compliance.
2. Stripe Checkout opens. Enter a card. A card is required to start the trial.
3. You return to setup. The trial lasts 14 days and includes 1,000 AI tokens.
4. When the trial ends, the first charge is made to the card you entered. If no card is on file at that point, the subscription is cancelled rather than charged, and the workspace is told, so a business phone never goes dark without warning.

Only the workspace owner or an admin can start a subscription or open billing.

Manage billing#

Settings → Billing has two parts:

• AI tokens. Used, remaining, the billing period and usage by channel. See AI tokens.
• Subscription. Your plan, trial end date, plan choices, and Manage billing, which opens Stripe's hosted portal. Cards, invoices and cancellation are handled by Stripe.

Cancel#

Open Manage billing and cancel there. Plans are month to month with no contract. When a subscription ends, the plan lapses: Business features are locked, phone-line capacity drops to zero, and calls the AI answers are locked as described in AI tokens. Healthcare workspaces do not have call details hidden.

Failed payments#

If a renewal payment fails, the workspace moves to a grace state and keeps working while Stripe retries. If the subscription is finally canceled or marked unpaid, the plan lapses. Paying an open invoice makes the plan active again and unlocks any calls that were locked.

Prorated charges#

These are invoiced immediately and prorated to the rest of the period:

• Upgrading from Starter to Business.
• Adding a token pack on Business.
• Moving a subscription from a standard to a healthcare price when your category changes. The price difference is invoiced now and the plan renews at the healthcare price. If the charge fails, the category does not change.

Which plan am I on?#

The Subscription section shows your plan, whether you are in the trial, and the trial end date. If your workspace was provisioned as complimentary, it shows as complimentary and nothing is billed.

Receipts and billing details#

Stripe issues receipts and invoices, and holds your card and billing details. Change them in Manage billing.

Enterprise and invoices by contract#

Enterprise plans are arranged with sales, not through checkout. Email hello@airhug.ai.

Checks#

• Settings → Billing shows the plan you chose and the trial end date.
• Manage billing opens Stripe's portal with your card on file.
